Health & Safety Officer

Support practical site safety, CDM coordination and consistent documentation across residential construction projects.

The role

Clear standards, practical site engagement.

The role works with site and project teams to identify risk, improve working practice and keep safety information useful, current and understood.

Core responsibilities

  • Carry out site inspections and support compliance with CDM duties and agreed site procedures.
  • Review risk assessments, method statements, COSHH information and project safety records.
  • Support inductions, toolbox talks, housekeeping, PPE and emergency arrangements.
  • Identify hazards promptly and stop unsafe work where necessary.
  • Record inspections, incidents and corrective actions clearly.
  • Coordinate with site managers, engineers, commercial teams and specialist trades.

What we are looking for

  • NEBOSH Construction or active progress toward an appropriate construction safety qualification.
  • Working knowledge of CDM 2015 and practical residential site safety.
  • CSCS and relevant construction-site experience.
  • Confident auditing, reporting and communication skills.
