About the role
A practical driving role with variety and opportunity.
We are looking for a dependable and professional HGV driver holding a valid Category C licence to operate an 18-tonne rigid goods vehicle across West and South London.
The position involves commercial deliveries, loading and unloading, coordinating collections and deliveries, and communicating professionally with customers and site contacts.
The working day can involve different locations and operational requirements, making this a suitable opportunity for someone who enjoys being active, organised and adaptable.
The starting rate is £18 per hour, with opportunities for additional earnings depending on available work and agreed arrangements.

What you'll be responsible for.
Deliveries & Collections
Carry out scheduled deliveries and collections across assigned locations in West and South London.
Loading & Unloading
Assist with loading, securing, handling and unloading goods where required and in accordance with safe working procedures.
Customer Communication
Maintain professional communication with customers, delivery locations and operational contacts.
Vehicle Checks
Complete routine daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects or operational concerns.
Delivery Coordination
Follow delivery instructions, maintain appropriate records and communicate effectively with the operations team.
Candidate requirements
What we're looking for.
A responsible driver with the right entitlement and a professional approach to commercial goods delivery and logistics.
Essential
- Valid UK-recognised Category C HGV driving entitlement.
- Valid Category B driving entitlement.
- Driver CPC qualification where required for professional commercial driving.
- Digital tachograph card where required for the vehicle and operation.
- Conversational English sufficient for instructions, safety and customer communication.
- Responsible and professional approach to driving.
- Ability to manage a varied delivery schedule.
- Willingness to assist with safe loading and unloading where required.
Desirable
- Previous experience driving rigid HGVs.
- Experience operating 18-tonne commercial vehicles.
- Previous delivery/distribution experience.
- Experience communicating directly with commercial customers.
- Good familiarity with West and South London.
- Previous customer-facing or commercial experience.
